Again, I couldn’t be more serious, having been repeatedly disillusioned and disabused by the disappointing words and actions of some people on whom I once bestowed so much affection and exertion.
If the worst should come to the worst, and if events keep going beyond my mortal control, then further measures, including breaking off the entire bond of whatever tenuous friendship and acquaintanceship may exist, will be seriously considered as an option or as the last resort to protect my vulnerable feelings from the self-serving egos of some unworthy people.
